We tracked 180 days of Amazon prices for ten pet gadgets. The pattern is not what you'd expect: the budget cameras have moved furthest above their normal price, while the expensive tracker is the best value in the set.

What the data says
The Tapo C100 is 42% above its average $24.99 today against $17.55 across six months. Its sibling, the C200, is 15% up. On cheap hardware those percentages are small in cash, but they're the largest moves in the set.
The Tractive GPS tracker is the bargain $55.30 against a $62.73 average, nearly 12% down, and the only product here more than 5% below its usual price.
Overall, hold Five of the eight we could measure are above their own average. This is not a moment where waiting costs you much.

How we did it
180 days of Amazon.com price history for the ten products in our pet tech ranking, each compared against its own average over the same window rather than against the others.
Two GPS trackers returned a current price outside the highest and lowest values recorded in the period, which normally means the figures came from different sellers. We dropped both rather than publish numbers we can't stand behind, leaving the eight above.
Cheap hardware moves in percentages, not dollars
A 42% jump sounds alarming until you look at the cash: the Tapo C100 has gone from about $17.55 to $24.99. That's seven dollars.
It still matters, and here's why. On products this cheap, a seven dollar swing is enough to reverse which model is the budget option. Right now the C200, which pans and tilts, is listed below the fixed C100. If you were choosing between them on price, the usual answer is currently upside down.
The one genuine deal
The Tractive GPS tracker is the only product in the set meaningfully below its own average, at nearly 12% down. It's also the most expensive single item after the litter box, so that percentage is worth real money.
If a GPS tracker was already on your list, this is a better week than most to buy one.
Feeders split in two
The plain Petlibro feeder is 5% up and the version with a built-in camera is 15% up, while the Frienhund cat feeder is 4% down.
The camera version carrying the bigger markup fits a pattern we see across categories: the feature-added variant is where sellers hold price hardest, because buyers who want the camera rarely settle for the model without it.

What we'd do
Buy the Tractive tracker if you wanted one. Wait on the cameras, where the whole group is above average and the cash amounts involved are small enough that patience is easy.
And if you're comparing the two Tapo cameras, check both prices on the day rather than assuming the fixed model is the cheaper one. Right now it isn't.
